People asking to lose weight - stop asking and read this?

I’ve just answered 3 questions all asking the same thing… I know fat people are notoriously lazy, but seriously, you can’t be bothered searching for the question before asking it?

Look. You can’t burn off fat from one part of your body. You can only burn fat. To do this, you need to do cardiovascular exercises. These are activities which get the heart pumping quicker, and involve pretty much constant movement for a good amount of time (say 20 minutes). Such exercises include: jogging; swimming; fast walking; skipping; playing sports, such as basketball; dancing; cycling; and the list goes on.

Strength building exercises such as sit ups, press ups and squats burn no noticeable amount of fat; they’re for increasing strength and muscle (which you won’t be able to see if you have lots of body fat).

So cardio activities are for burning off fat, but if you’re eating more calories than you’re taking off, you’re wasting your time. I’m not saying eat less (doing so would cause your body to go into starvation mode, which means it uses muscle instead of fat to fuel itself and you won’t lose much fat anyway), I’m saying eat less of the fatty and unhealthy foods, and more low-fat, nutritious foods (go on google and look for healthy meals and snacks).

This website provides a lot of great information on everything to do with fitness. While you may not want to do the exercises or follow the food plan on there, it will still provide you with a surplus of useful information.

Good luck
Redmug I’m trying to help people. They don’t want personal responses, they want people to tell them it’s quick and easy when it isn’t. And I typed all of that based on what I know, the website is just part of where I learnt it from.

All fat people are not lazy. You are an idiot.

Am i doing enough to burn fat efficiently without losing muscle?

Celebrating my graduation this past school year, my close friends and i completely threw out the concept of physical fitness this summer. After around a month and a half of clubbing at least twice a week (paired with excessive drinking and eating fast food on the way home usually around 3 in the morning), and a TERRIBLE sleep schedule AND diet, i mustve gaind at least 10 maybe 15 pounds ALL in the groin/love handle and thigh areas.
Now im going on a diet and have been pretty good about not eating after 8 sometimes 9 at night, and getting at least 8 hours of sleep, not to mention eating more wholesome meals and drinking plenty more water, so i guess im off to a good start. My usual workout routine is about 5 sets of benchpress followed by 30-45 minutes of auxillery work for my biceps and deltoids, or triceps and traps, alternating days ( those are the 4 muscles i want to work on the most, and chest of course.). then, i follow with about 20 minutes of jogging, at 400m intervals, usually about 5 or 6 laps. as i get older my chest is expanding and flattening out, and my deltoids are cutting out great. triceps are just kinda ehh and biceps are suckin it up. however over all my upper torso is improving. My belly, love handles, and thighs are NOT. Im not too worried seeing as i just recently finished up all my partying and drinking and bad sleep patterns for the summer, but my question is this, Assuming that:
i Get at least 8 hours of sleep a day,
i eat good meals and dont eat after around 8 each night,
i dont drink or smoke,
and i keep the steady workout schedule i listed above,

Will that be enough to burn off all the fat ive gained this summer?

If i need to incorporate more running into my workouts, will it burn my muscle too? ive heard that running too much burns lean muscle.

And should i stick to short distance pausing between laps or run the whole time non stop (i heard that starting and stopping tricks your body into burning more fat)

P.s. im big lol, 6′4, 230-240 lbs

please and thanks

Is my squat routine good enough for fat loss?

Hello.

Routine - 20 squats as fast as I can, rest 30 seconds. Repeat until I reach 300 squats. My heart rate goes up dramatically, and I sweat as hell. Also I need to breathe deeply.

Keeping that in mind, are the squat routine I preform every other day good enough for fat loss?

I’d go for the running.I’ve met enough people who have got real skinny from it. Good luck.
