What kind of foods (spacifics) can help me loose wieght the fastest?

Could you please list foods that burn fat the fastest? I have been starving myself and I have been getting slow results. I want something fast. So please name examples like THE food, and the kinds of vitamins and minerals, oils, carbs, etc.

  1. any fruits and veggies. lean meat like turkey or fish. water. stay away from bread.

  2. stay away from food with high carbs like rice, bread etc.. chicken, fish, and other lean meat are great to lose weight. try to eat often and with smaller portions.

  3. starving yourself is the worst thing you can do to lose weight. the human body is very good at holding onto nutrients when it becomes deprived of proper food. you will lose weight so much faster if you eat small meals 4-5 times a day as to keep your metabolism running full throttle. eat lean meats- chicken and turkey- not fried of course are geat. also fish is great for you. drinking coffee will help as it contains caffinne and will keep your heart rate up. also it is imparative to eat breakfast to get your meabolism going for the day..try to limit your carbs and eat a majorty of them early in the day. do not eat carbs after dinner time 5-6pm. this will cause you to lose weight so much faster than starving yourself. and lastly exercise at least 3-4 times a week.

  4. I don’t get it, everybody wants to see instant results when they change their diet or start exercising. Like one day your just gonna wake up skinny. It’s cool that you want to improve yourself, but you gotta understand being healthier and more fit is a lifetime commitment. Starving yourself is not a good way to lose weight. By starving yourself your body is converting the food you do eat into fat and storing it. Vitamins, minerals, oils? That stuff is all crap. If you eat balanced healthy diet you’ll get all the essential vitamins, minerals, and oils your body needs. Fruit and veggies, chicken, easy on the carbs, easy on the red meat. You don’t need specifics, I’m sure you know which is healthier between a salad w/ chicken and slice of pizza; or the correct option between fish with rice or a burger and fries. Oh yeah, foods don’t burn fat, you do. EXERCISE.

    Just so you know, there aren’t any wonder foods that will "burn" fat away, like you hear on commercials. The only healthy way to lose those pounds is to make some changes in our eating habits, and maybe in our lifestyle.

    We put on weight because we’re not paying attention to some things. The main thing is that we’re eating too much. The body requires a certain amount of fuel (food) in order to supply itself with protein, carbs, and fat (yes fat!) We use that food to supply our "lean mass" (bones, muscle tissue and organs) with nutrients, and as fuel, to keep our bodies at 98.6. A 150 lb man who remains sedentary will burn close to 2,000 calories per day. For a woman, it’s about 1,500. That’s in a 24 hour period .

    If we take in more calories in a day than our body can burn, the excess is stored away, eventually turning to fat. If that cycle continues, then we start to groooooow! In as little as a few weeks, we could start to see a change. A dietician told me that if one candy bar puts us over our daily calorie limit, and we do that every day, in a year it can add up to 20 lbs! That’s something to think about. Even eating too much "good" food will still put us over the calorie limit.

    In case there’s any confusion about macronutrients (carbs and protein), it’s pretty simple:

    IF IT DOESN’T COME FROM AN ANIMAL, IT’S A CARBOHYDRATE

    All plants are carbohydrates!

    All carbohydrates are made up of complex sugars.

    A twinkie is obviously pure refined sugar… but a stick of celery is also sugar - and an oak leaf! Each one is a form of sugar.

    Yeah, I know…Some legumes, like soy beans do have a degree of protien, but it’s so proportionately small, that it’s still considered a source of carbohydrate.
    We have to watch the amount of food we eat, and we should be especially aware when we eat foods that are super high in calories, like most fast-food and the stuff in the snack isle ;-) and we should limit our intake of "refined" sugar - pastries, cereals, desserts, sugar-loaded drinks like soda and processed juices, etc. Excessive sugar (carb) intake causes a surge of insulin into the bloodstream, called an "insulin spike".

    Insulin is a "storage" hormone. It drives the sugar from the bloodstream, and stores it primarily in muscle tissue and in the liver, as glucose. (The brain feeds on glucose, which is supplied by the liver) If the stored glucose isn’t burned in a short amount of time, it gets chemically changed and is transferred to storage in the adipose cells. That’s FAT!!!

    The only thing that burns fat is muscle. Fat doesn’t just evaporate by taking some pill or eating some miracle food. Don’t believe anything like that. Fat has to be burned as fuel by your muscle tissue. If we want to start losing that fat, then we have to, 1) Start putting less food in our mouths, and 2) Start exercising those muscles. (btw, the biggest muscles burn the most fat, so the quickest way out is to start working those leg muscles.)

    Jogging is an excellent exercise, but if your knees can’t take the impact, then an elyptical or ski machine are awesome, too - or a stair climber - basically any way that you can excersise those big leg muscles. Swimming is an all-around good activity, also. But whatever you choose, you’ve got to do it for at least 20 minutes a day - 30 is fantastic. Seriously - Work up a sweat!!!

    Just think about all this, and make a decision to start getting control over your body. Eating right and exercising is the way to good health and strong bodies! Yes???

    Start taking control over your diet when you sit down to your next meal, and get those muscles working!

    Anyway, I hope some of the things I’ve said will be encouraging to you. I’m just a normal guy who dicovered all this stuff a long time ago (I just turned 52), and for the last 15 years, I’ve been putting it into practice, and it works. Just make up your mind to make the changes. Stick with it and give it a chance. It will eventually become your lifestyle. You’ll see. :)
