Cardio workouts and losing weight (fat-loss) questions?

Hi guys, would really appreciate it if you could help me answer some questions :)
I’m 17, 6′1 and i weigh around 80kg (176 lb), for so long i have been planing on losing around 10 to 15 kg but have often shy away from it since iv got many questions un-answered and didnt want to start working out without knowing i could lose weight (in a healthy manner) the fastest way possible. these are my list of questions

- on average i get around 6-7 hours of sleep a day, i wake up at around 7.30 am. if i woke up an hour earlier and started some cardio would it be Effective?
- i also heard that cardio is most effective in the morning as your body is in a ‘fat burning mode’ in the morning… true?
- i also heard that u should have breakfast after ur workout in the morning, not before. THEN someone else told me that its counter-productive and u should eat breakfast then workout, if thats the case will i not have to wait around an hour for my breakfast to digest or whatever?
- what kind of food should i eat? can u name some common household foods that are healthy, i cant afford many of the foods suggested in other pages as theyre quite costly. basic everyday food suggestions would be great
- and lastly any general tips on what workouts and how to optimize fat-loss in a healthy manner.

please dont be vague in your answers :D many many thanks

First off, eat your breakfast first. You need the energy; not eating food will just leave you tired, and you won’t get as much of a workout done. If you eat a ton, of course you might be groggy. Just have a protein-rich snack, like peanut butter, nuts, yogurt, eggs, or other stuff 15 minutes beforehand, and you’ll have energy for the rest of your workout.
Next, there is no optimal time of day to work out. You have the same metabolism all day, (actually, teens only stop releasing sleep hormone until after about 8:30 AM, take that into account) and no change in schedule will change that. There is no such thing as ‘fat burning mode’. Just work out when you’re most comfortable and able to commit to lots of physical work. Sacrificing your sleep is not productive!
If you can, try to eat more fish than red meat. Instead of getting fried food, get grilled, and don’t eat processed meals; they have tons of calories and salt. When you have cravings for junk food, eat some fruit before so you’ll eat less crap. Sports bars are actually loaded with calories. Try to make your own mixes of nuts, craisins (dried cranberries), raisins, dried fruit. and seeds like sunflower. Don’t eat canned fruit, it’s packaged it syrup. Hope this helped!

  1. -You are depriving yourself of sleep. You need to get around 8-9 hours a night. You can do cardio whenever you like but I wouldn’t cut into your already so little sleeping time. Start going to bed earlier.

-Your body is always going to be in fat burning mode. People make up the silliest myths sometimes it’s hilarious. You haven’t consumed any food early in the morning, so you have less emediate energy sources so it’s faster for your body to kick over into fat burning. However it’s not that great of a difference. Most people find that before they eat they don’t have the energy for a rough workout. I get migranes if I workout before I eat.

-I wait around 30-45 minutes after I eat to go workout

    - I don’t feel like wasting my time making a list of healthy foods. I’d be here for a year. Just eat healthy (you should know how to distinguish healthy from unhealthy on your own)

  3. The key element for being able to lose weight quickly and keep it off is establishing a positive frame of mind right from the beginning. Set a specific, achievable goal weight for yourself and KNOW that you will achieve it.

This is a fairly basic variation from the other weight loss programs available out there, but it is the most critical difference when it comes to achieving your goal of weight loss. Simply because the confidence and decisiveness of KNOWING you are going to achieve your goal will keep you motivated to accomplish all the things you actually already KNOW you have to do in order to lose weight.
