Are these healthy diet foods?
Hi everyone! So I’m 15 years old, 5′2, and weigh about 120 pounds. I’m a ballet dancer, so Im looking to drop some weight (10-20 pounds) to get the ballet look. (believe me, i really want it!) I have had "pre anorexia" (early stages of it) and currently have orthorexia. (its an eating disorder. its basically an unhealthy obsession with eating healthy.) So im really trying to break out of my habits. I came up with a diet plan after doing research for hours upon end of foods that I can eat that are good for me. So basically, I just need to see if you guys have any suggestions or tweaks for it!
Its a 1200 calorie diet (I was at 1064 cal before, but I finally got the nerve to bump it up) Here’s what I will eat..
Breakfast (can choose 2 a day): eggs, whole wheat bread w/ 1tbsp of peanut butter, apple, carrots, cashews lightly salted, 1cup of special k cereal, 2 slices of turkey, banana
Lunch: usually an apple with special k, or an orowheat sandwich thin with 2 slices of turkey and an apple,
Snack (choices include): light and fit yougurt, cashews, carrots, apple, 2 slices of turkey, glass of milk, banana. (I will pick two)
Dinner: always a small portion of meat with milk and one of the choices from the snacks listed above.
you probably noticed alot of the same foods are repeated. keep in mind that im only choosing two from each. so if an apple is on every single list, it doesnt necessarily mean i will eat an apple every meal.
I drink 8 glasses of water a day and dance nearly every day of the week.
Tomorrow I am going to the gym and doing my 1200 cardio challenge. Its where I burn 200 calories on 6 different cardio machines (so thats my days worth!) Would that be a case where I have to up my calorie intake?
Also, my mom is on weight watchers and she was telling me about the points system. She said that a an is are considered "free points." So they dont count against you because "you cant get fat by eating an apple" So does that mean I can basically eat as much fru
I have the same problem, and I got treatment and is much better. I don’t even count my calories any more, but I do still watch what I eat. I know you want to drop a few, but you are 15 and need more calories. Good for you for bumping it up, but you need to enjoy yourself more and eat foods you used to it and love that are not exactly "healthy". Dancing everyday is a lot of exercise, so you NEED to eat ore especially. try eggs and toast in the morning with fruit and milk. Lunch, you need protein like turkey PB and cheese (and bread). add fruits, yogurt, granola bar for a side. Snack on fruit, granola bar, yogurt, nuts. For dinner have protein, carbs, fats. Chicken cooked in olive oil(healthy fat) and whole wheat pasta or brown rice with some veggies. Then, before you go to bed, have a little snack or you can call it dessert. frozon yogurt, little cup of ice cream, couple cookies (there are healthy kinds!) with some milk or something. I also like to snack on popcorn. Good luck!

I started putting on fat after university. Then I started working; I had no time to look after my body and exercise, etc. I was trying to drop the fat but it was too difficult as I’m still really busy and most of time had to go out to eat because of my job. Then I tried those fast weight loss, Atkins, Fasting, low carbohydrate, etc. None of them appeared to work, cuz I never have energy all the time and couldnt stay alert at work. I need something that doesn’t deprive me of energy. After researching around, I couldnt find anything and was considering surgery; but it was expensive, so I lost hope. One day A girlfriend shared with me these amazing supplements that she used every day, I was like please, is this another one of those, but she looks incredible. So I took her advice & started using them, have been trying these for about 2 and half weeks now. And to my surprised, I really dropped 11 pounds. I couldnt see much weightloss the first few days, but after that I started seeing consistent result. I’ve dropped 40 pounds now. I gotta tell you, I’m ecstatic. The amazing thing from these diet products is that I got a booost of energy; so I’m alert all the time. I trust my experience will help motivate you.

yes. eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and your diet seems healthy.
Eat healthy: eat 3 whole meals a day. For your meals, you want something healthy and that fills you up so that you don’t get hungry again for a long time. You need to also make healthy choices like eating whole wheat bread or whole grain bread instead of white bread and brown rice instead of white rice. Cut all junk food. They are bad for you and cause weight gain fast. Cut fast food as well! If you get hungry in between your 3 meals, eat a piece of fruit/vegetable, low-fat yogurt, skim milk, or fruit juice. THey are all good and healthy and will burn fat. As well as eating healthy, combine with exercise and you will lose the weight healthfully and easily. Diets don’t work in the long run. When you consume too little, or deprive yourself of certain foods, you are also not getting the essential nutrients. That’s why everyone gain the weight back and more in diets. Diet’s are a plan for fail. INstead, just focus on eating healthy. You will feel better, look better, and perform better. Opt for a healthy lifestyle, not a fad diet. that’s how you lose weight and keep it off for good.
For the exercise, don’t overdo yourself. Just walking, jogging for 1 hour each day will be more than enough. Rememeber to rest for 1 day of the week. Also, if 1 hour is too long for you, you can BREAK IT DOWN thorughout the day. Nobody said you have to get it all done in one shot, just do some after you wake up, some in the afternoon myabe, and sometime before or after dinner. It’s more managaeable that way. Walking, jogging, running or swimming are aerobic/cardio exercises and they burn the most calories and fat. They will make you strengthen or build your muscle and keep you burning more calories and fat.
eat healthy and exercise is the golden rule of losing weight. Good luck hun
