Does having protein shake will help fat loss and add muscle mass?
Im new in weightlifting and im planning to take protein shake cause it seems that i cant always follow my diet.
do you think its ok to take protein shake? does it add the muscle mass and help fat loss?
cause im somewhat fat im afraid taking protein shakes will add more fat.
no don’t drink it, it isn’t pure protein and is loaded with a bunch of other trash. Go natural and get your protein straight from the source.
If you want to lose fat, eat healthy (veggies, grilled white meats like chicken and fish, nuts and some fruits), avoid greasy foods, pops and juices at all costs. Stick to water and milk.
Along with a healthy diet, loads of cardiovascular exercises will help you shed fat, so start running, jogging, biking, swimming, or whatever floats your boat. Just get that heartbeat up and sweat it out.
All the best.

You dont just drink it and you get stronger. You must work out after drinking it. the protein helps your muscles recover faster after working out.

As long as you are lifting, the protein you consume will be ‘used up’ by your body as it tries to build on to your muscle. Make sure that the protein you use has a low calorie to high protein ratio. A good rule of thumb is 1g of protein per 1lb of your body weight, per day. THis is some times hard to accomplish but do as bes as you can.
the protein your body dosnt use will end up being pooped out, and you will probably notice on a day to day
basis :p
Protein shakes, especially taken when hungry, will keep you feeling full, while your body processes the muscle building materials, and disposes of the rest, as there is little fat in a good protein powder, helping in the weight loss while simultaneously building/retaining muscle.
A good thing about being fat is that it makes it much easier to gain muscle faster. Its much easier to turn fat to muscle than to just try and pull it out of thin air. You only notice it on a skinny person first because they dont have as much fat covering it up so its more noticeable right off the bat. But because of their high metabolism, their fat disappears quicker not leaving them a chance to turn it to muscle.

You can try whey protein (gold standard). It is easily absorbed and digested in about 30 minutes. It can help you to have a healthier body, fat loss and build muscles. But you MUST exercise a few days per week and your diet should be healthy. try search it in http://www.bodybuilding.com and click supersite. You will find some good routines and advices from pros.

It won’t add any fat if you subtract the calories from other foods. It does add muscle mass by repairing fibers but you need protein generally not one shake. Change your diet to protein rich foods, and remember your not going to gain much muscle on a deficit, maybe have a small one but then your not going to have much fat loss! Maybe since your new 500 would be fine but i’m just assuming. And need like 0.8/lb of protein if lifting seriously. Good foods high in protein are fish, chicken, lentils, tuna, whey (after workout), nuts (kind of low)….
