What are some good, fat-burning foods?

Food you can buy at local grocery stores, that burn fat fast?

There are plenty of fat burning foods that you can choose from, these include:
1. Salmon (high in Omega 3 which lowers leptin levels which helps the body burn calories faster)
2. Eggs (in moderation, great for speeding up metabolism at breakfast time and B12 destroy fat cells)
3. Chicken (without skin, high in protein, the more muscle you have, the more calories you can burn)
4. Oatmeal (makes you full faster and does not cause an insulin spike which minimizes fat gain)
5. Peppers (in moderation, e.g. jalapeno, cayenne etc. speeds up metabolism for burning calories)

Alternatives to each group such as the salmon can be replaced by tuna or other fish if salmon is not your ideal choice.

  2. Food doesn’t burn fat. That is just marketing to try to get you to buy something. Food contains calories - it adds fat if the calories in (what you eat) are more than the calories out (the energy you use in physical activity). Don’t waste your money.

  3. Vegetables always works just fine. What I personally tried is grapefruit. Grapefruit does some amazing job in fat-burning!! Just do not eat it before you go to bed, because if you didn’t eat something before it, you’ll literally feel burning in your stomach. A good advice is to eat it right after a meal, or maybe half an hour after you ate. Good luck!

  4. Celery. Your body burns extra 3 calories while digesting. Amazing, huh?

Also sugar- free chewing gum. It has ~2 calories, 1 hour of chewing burns ~11 calories. So 9 calories burned!

Green tea- not food, but works AMAZING. Drink 3 cups per day and say bye to 60 calories. Also it boost your metabolism, help you overal and burn fat. Oh and it supress your apettite a lot!

Cold water- not food too, but if you drink ice cold water, you lose calories too. 1,6l Of cold water- 50 calories burned.

Grapefruit- it burn fat too, but i dont know if it really works. The person above me said it burns stomach, but it dont.. the acids does.

  6. It is not the purpose of food to burn calories. It is the purpose of food to contribute calories so your body will have the energy it needs to function. However, there are some foods, such as celery, which contribute so few calories that the the process of digestion will use more calories than the food contributes. These are known as "negative energy foods".

The problem with the idea that these foods cause the body to burn more calories than they contribute is that they also contribute so little nutrition that you cannot live on them alone. You must have nutrition to survive. So, in order to maintain your health and still lose fat, you’ll have to find alternatives to the negative energy foods and the alternatives will not be negative energy. At that point, you’ll be right back at dealing with the problem of the calorie…where you were before entertaining the idea using negative energy food. And, that begs the question, if you cannot resolve the matter of fat loss with negative energy foods, why use negative energy foods at all?

The answer to the problem of negative energy food dieting which is promoted by the best experts in health (the US National Institute of Health) is simply to eat a proper diet and control your portion size to lower your caloric intake and create the caloric deficit necessary to burn fat. Anything else is a fad, a gimmick, or a poor plan for fat loss which will not sustain your loss for life and that includes negative energy foods. There’s more to fat loss than just energy management. There are the human problems of dietary satisfaction, appetite control, freedom from deprivation, and more. When all is said and done, there is no easy way to lose fat and there are no "fat burning foods" which will serve your long term goals for fat loss and body composition maintenance.

    Good luck and good health!!
