    Is there a way to burn mostly fat, and then work on building lean muscle? I guess i’m asking if there is a way to just burn a lot of fat with out gaining a lot of muscle.

    And can anyone suggest any specific workout plans that are like, cardio/fat burners?

  4. whats wrong with gaining muscle it burns fat and you wont become gross building it if your a girl. it burns lots of fat and keeps ur joints in good shape for later in life and for now. if you get active and stay active the fat will stay down, but if you stop working out it will come back

    well you should eat fruits and vegetables throughout the day, they say Grapefruit is one of the best fruits to burn fat. but all of them will contribute greatly. Also eat only whole wheat breads, cereals, pastas, etc. drink plenty of water, it helps your digestive system. And Don’t forget lean protein, chicken is the best, and to keep your blood sugar level; combine a protein with a carb for a complete protein. For example: egg whites on whole wheat toast, reduced fat peanut butter on whole wheat toast or on an apple. Get enough potassium, found in fruits veggies and yogurts. All of this should meet your daily values for fiber and protein, but i would google it to find your recommendedamountt for your age, height, and weight and how much activity you do.

    As for working out, cardio cardio cardio burns fat.
    ex: on a treadmill, on an incline of about 3, run at a comfortable pace for 2 min, walk for one.
    Beginners do this 9 times, advanced 18 times.
    (trust me it really breaks a sweat)

    also combine your workouts with weight training, you could even weight train every other day and go on the elliptical for about 30min.
    After you have been working out for a couple days/weeks, head to the gnc store for a protein supplement, this will help your muscles recover and build lean muscle, but make sure to read the directions, just ask them what you are looking for and they will help you out. Also, too much protein can add weight gain, so be careful! (:
