    Hey everyone. I am in need of some dietician type help without any funds or insurance so an actual doctor is out. I am very over weight. I’m 25 years old, I weigh 280 I’m 5′7" and carry my weight from head to toe which is a blessing really as it helps me look proportional . . . its just a big proportion. My weight doesn’t bother me much at all as far as looks go and I can still do whatever I want activity wise. I’m not the typical "fat slob" people usually have in mind. I dress well and look nice, and go about my business. I’m very comfortable in my skin, but I’m afraid my health is falling fast. My heart is okay besides a rapid heart beat which I’ve had since my thinner years (little electrical problem so I’m told) but the structure is good and my cholesterol and EKG readings when on my beta blocker are phenomenal. I do have severe anxiety and depression which I’ve had my whole life but I think my weight exacerbates the issue, but my biggest problem is: my gut is not happy. My stomach is pretty much constantly uncomfortable. I have heart burn a lot and excessive gas bubbles just hanging out and paining me terribly. I had my first gallbladder attack about two months ago after a rather ridiculous amount of greasy food and I thought I might just die, but as it is with a lot of overeaters that only stopped me temporarily.
    So I’m looking for some help. I’m looking to start off "fresh" or "clean" and by that I don’t mean I want to drink or eat anything that keeps me in the bathroom for an entire weekend. That kind of cleansing is a bit too sudden for my liking I think. I’m just looking for a beginning diet that’s packed full of any and everything I’m going to want to really get some vitamins, minerals, calcium in me. I also am in need of foods that will bulk up and move out all the awful crap I’ve put into my body lately. I’m kind of looking for any foods or any meal regimen any of you might have that can give me a little boost. Any foods you eat that really invigorate you or have really great qualities I should know about. I’m a crap cook but simple recipes are cool too. I’d like to just flood my body with any and everything that’s good for a couple of weeks to get me out of this awful "blah" feeling, and then incorporate your suggestions into a food plan that may be a little less extreme but still very healthy, whilst being attainable for me.
    Any “beware of” foods you know of, besides fatty foods, fast foods, sugar I know that much, that are no good or just no good for people with sensitive stomachs let me know those too. I hope I can get a good chunk of answers. I really need some help.
    I’m not even looking to lose weight. I want to feel better. I don’t want a diet and esp not a bs one that is unfeesable and unhealthy.
    The Liver and our Kidneys are our biggest detoxifiers and if we treat them badly they become unhealthy so eating foods that would detoxify the Liver and Kidneys would be fantastic for the body. Since no one wanted to give me any hints I just dug around and found a bunch of foods that are great for Liver and kidney function and I’ve been eating a lot of the fruits and vegitables given as examples. My stomach feels better for the lack of fats and sugars and my body feels better for all the great stuff I’ve put in it. I didn’t get any help here but if anyone else stumbles upon my question just search around for foods that are especially good for your liver and kidneys since those are your main cleansers for your body.

  2. As the body and colon are self cleansing there is no such thing as a ‘cleansing diet’.
