  1. I don't understand!! weight loss help?
I have been on a diet and exercise regime for around 2 years now. My calorie intake is 1500 calories, I do yoga and jump rope and crunches 4-5 mornings a week. I try and eat healthy food (fruits, lean meat..).
But I can’t seem to lose any weight! At the beginning my weight went down slowly, but now not at all! I even seem to gain a little! And it’s not because I’m getting muscular!
I was just wondering if the time of day that you eat makes a difference or if there are any supplements that help burn fat, promote weight loss….? I heard green tea is supposed to help. I don’t know if that works, or what other things there are.
If anybody has any information, that would be great!

  2. your not doing enough exercise

  3. I’ve lost weight very well with the Richard Simmons Deal a Meal. Try his website to see if there’s suggestions. I think 1500 calories for a gal is a lot. I generally take in about 1200 calories a day. If I want to lose weight quickly, I’ll do 1000 or less calories. If you eat the same thing day after day, your body uses that food the same way each day. Distribution will eventually almost be automatic and you will stop losing weight. Change up your diet. Eat less for a week to get a jump start. Then eat different foods to almost shock the system and metabolism to work differently than it had been with your current 1500 cal. diet.

  4. Once you begin a regular lifestyle routine your body gets used to it and learns to cope with the amount of calories comming in and being expelled. Its great that you have done this but if you want to loose more weight you need to mix things up a little. Change your exercise routine to something different. Try running or doing different types of abdominal workouts. Just something new and different for your body to adjust to. Aim to do 30 minutes of intense cardio at least 4 days per week and then on the other days maybe stick with yoga and abdominal workouts.
I have been drinking green tea every day for the last 5 years and i cant say i have noticed i have lost weight from drinking it but they do say it helps your metabolism. A better way to do this though would be to have hot water and lemon in the morning before you eat anything else. Its supposed to help burn fat throughout the day and cure sweet tooth cravings. It doesnt really matter what time of day you eat certain foods but you shouldnt eat 2 hours before going to bed.
Also, i have heard that having apple cider vinegar diluted in water before meals can help to burn calories. Apparently the acid content in the vinegar ‘chews’ away at the food. Although you should only have it once a day (i recommend before your biggest meal of the day). Its 1-2 tbl spoons in 500 mls of water just before a meal.
    Good Luck!

  5. Depending on your daily activity level, 1500 calories may not be enough to lose weight.

Your metabolism is geared for famine; when calorie intake is too far below calorie expenditure, your metabolism slows down and may actually begin hoarding fat. The weight gain you experience probably is probably a result of this. You exercise and diet hard and then decide to treat yourself, but your metabolism has slowed down and you gain weight.

As such, you need to aim for taking in around 500-750 fewer calories than you burn. This may seem like a small reduction in calories, but you will actually "trick" you body into losing weight. Your body will recognize the deficit as small will start burning reserves without kicking into starvation mode.

I would suggest figuring out your daily caloric expenditure using the program within this website-

After that, knock 500 calories a day off of your total and see how it goes. If you don’t feel the weight is coming off, reduce by 750 calories a day.

I would also suggest changing up your exercise routine on a regular basis.
