Are eggs good for fat loss and muscle growth?

I have been eating a diet primarily of raw fruits and veggies it has been great for fat loss but I know my muscles wont develop to their true potential. I have heard mixed opinions about eggs and was hoping someone could offer me insight.

They can. Gary Taubes wrote some interesting books about fat loss and protein that might be worth your read (dense stuff though).
But in many people, food is a lot more complicated than simple, eat this, not that.

Which is the most effective diet, Fat Loss 4 Idiots or the Diet Solution Program?

I have been looking at diets on the web and narrowed it down to Fat Loss 4 Idiots or the Diet Solution Program. Doesn’t anyone have experience of them or can tell me which is going to be the best one for me to do? I have seen quite a few reviews but most of them look like there trying to promote or sell the diet.

The Diet Solution Program is more of a method rather than an actual diet. If you have tried to lose weight with several diets but not got anywhere then it could well be worth looking at. Lots of “reviews” are merely trying to promote the diet to get a commission. This site, http://dietwebreport.com/#/the-diet-solution-program/4532252846 just gives the facts and details about the diet and the download package. It also has comments by other users.
Fat Loss 4 Idiots is much more of a straight forward diet program. Lots of people like the no nonsense approach. Rests between dieting doesn’t always work for everyone as you need plenty of determination to get back to the diet. For info on it see http://dietwebreport.com/#/fat-loss-4-idiots/4532251801 .
Check out these 2 webpages first but I’d be inclined to go with the Diet Solution Program if you want a deal of background info on the subject and Fat Loss 4 Idiots if you want a simple diet that you can get down to immediately.

Any ideas on how i integrate a fat loss programme with a muscle building one?

I currently have a 3 day spilt muscle training programme, along with that i’d like to involve a cardiovascular workout so I can burn fat as this is something I am hoping to achieve.

I have a crosstrainer at home, in terms of fat loss and fitness, how many days should I do it a week and to what intensity, i’m thinking of interval training.

Interval training is definitaly the way to go, you dont need to use the cross-trainer, the fittest people i know simply go outside and run. I suggest you read this http://www.squidoo.com/fat-loss-through-cardio for a few good interval training ideas, following any of those a few days a week should help. How often depends on your muscle training programme. If you train legs seriously hard on Friday, it’d be unwise to to interval training on Saturday, and possibly even sunday. I prefer full body workouts personally, but a 3 day split should still be good. I suggest reading that article first and foremost. If you have your diet under control, you should only need to do interval training maybe 2-4 times a week, occasionaly it can be ok to do it on your workout days depending how hard you are working the muscles involed in the interval training. Try and do it between 2 and 4 times a week however, closer to 4 if possible. You’ve just got to remember to listen to your body, if your doing it 4 times a week, and you are struggling, getting tired or showing symptoms of overtraining, then stop, rest for a while, and decrease the cardio or workout times.

How can I maximise my fat loss?

I eat 3 healthy meals and two snacks daily, and I run twice a day, each time for at least 15 minutes. Though I eat healthy and exercise, I am seeing no difference in the amount of fat on my body, especially the stomach area.

How can I maximise my fat loss?
I am 16, about 5 foot 5, and weight about 128lbs, so I am not overweight, I am just trying to get rid of additional stomach fat.

your meals may be healthy, but are they low calorie? youre biggest thing is to figure out your caloric intake to stay at the weight you are at now, then subtract 500 calories from your diet a day. also, it is a common misconception that you should eat 3 big meals a day and snack in between, this is what your real meals should look like (though the servings will be off because i dont know your weight)

say you wake up at 8 am ok

8 am : 15-20 min cardio then a recovery shake.. something to put back electrolytes. also take your multivitamin in the morning

9 am : fruit, dairy, protein ex) egg whites only and milk bananas are higher than most fruits in calories so try berries

11:30 am : snack, this should be a small snack like string cheese or yogurt something like that

2:00 pm : protein veggie dressing so maybe, chicken salad with light dressing

5:00 pm: snack, again something small to curb your hunger it can be a fruit or veggie celery and pb make a good snack and give you a serving of veggie and protein

8:00 pm: carb veggie protein fat ex) you could have like chicken tacos; corn tortillas chicken veggies- also when i say fat you do need some fat in your diet. stay away from saturated fat and trans fat, you need monounsaturated and polyunsaturated those are good fats.

its up to you when you take in your carbs, some people say its better to take them in the morning so you are able to burn the calories through out the day. it really depends on when you do your second workout if youre looking to maximize fat loss, you should exercise 2 times a day cardio in the morning and then specific area in the evening like abs one day upper body the next legs and butt the next.. always switch it up.. dont overdo one area with out giving it time to recover..its like beating a dead horse.

you want to make sure youre taking in sufficient amount of fiber, this will regulate your digestive system.. as gross as it sounds the average person carries an extra 4-8lbs of body weight in stool because they are not eliminating regularly (at least once a day)
be sure to take in foods that are antioxidants.. if you notice you feel sluggish and tired even though youve gotten plenty of sleep (8-10hrs) then chances are youre not gettin the antioxidants you need

some ex of antioxidant drinks:
apple juice
cider
tomato juice
green tea, black tea, plain tea
red wine
and beer.. yuck haha

dried fruit has high levels of antioxidants

some ex of high fiber foods:
whole wheat bread, bagels, pasta
muffins, granola, brown rice
brocolli,corn, beans,carrots,peas

hope i helped a little.. your biggest things right now is needing to figure out your current caloric intake and what it needs to be, its best to track your calories so you know what youre taking in.. taking in too little can also have a reverse effect on your body causing it to go into to starvation mode, thus causing your metabolism to plummet and your body to store fat. and remember 6 or 7 small meals a day and try not to eat after 8 if you go to bed at 10.. there should be a 2 - 2.5 hr window from your last meal and bed time

What are some good exercises for fat loss? also what foods to eat?

I just started going on the elliptical at least 30 mins a day. I want to lose at least 15 pounds by April. Is the elliptical good for fat loss? What other workouts are good? Also is there any foods I should eat and avoid? Plus is it okay to workout 6-7 days a week?

Hi. In my opinion the best thing you can do is try to stick to as natural, whole products as possible. Stuff like vegetables, beans, whole-grains, fruit, nuts etc.

For each meal make sure you have a portion of fruit or veg, one of protein and one of complex carbs. The combination of these food-groups will stop you getting too hungry. Add in a couple of healthy snacks like nuts and dried fruit and you have a perfectly balanced diet.

Avoid ready meals, soda and junk food such as crisps, Special K (full of sugar!), chocolate or cakes.

In terms of exercise, try to be active for at least an hour 4 days a week. I wouldn’t recommend doing 6-7. It’s actually better for your body to have a break

Elliptical is a great choice. You can also do jogging, rowing or swimming.

Good luck.

has anyone tried the fat loss supplement called Apidexin?

It seems to be pretty legit and recommended as far as fat loss supplements go. Can you tell me your experience with it?

Stay away from this supplement as it contains stimulants which speeds up your metabolism but also brings the risk of heat attack and heart damage. In the end is just is not really worth it.
