How can a 15 year lose a little belly fat?

I have a plan to try out for my school’s soccer team. I love to play soccer and i quit just 4 months ago. I want to lose a couple pounds, I’m not obese I’m just a little over weight. I have the whole summer to prepare. Over the months i stop exercising and gained a couple pounds.

To make the team you need to run 2 miles in about 15-20. That’s the basic qualifying activity.

I would like to know:
1- What foods can i eat that burn fat?
2- I want to strengthen my arms and legs. How? Whats the best way? (I’m a goal keeper)
3- Do you think i can achieve this by the end of summer?

Thanks.

Pasta is full of carbohydrates. Always eat carbohydrates before you run, its like an energy boost. If I were you, I’d just go out and run as far as you can, then run back. Don’t worry about times in the beginning. Once August hits, start getting those times down. To strengthen your arms and legs, go to Wal-Mart and buy dumbbells for your arms, and search on YouTube. Millions of helpful videos there. For your legs, its a little different. For your thighs, I would go on my hands and knees. Then, put all your weight on your right side, and lift your left leg up 90 degrees. This is called the Leg Dog Lift Exercise. Basically, you look like a dog trying to urinate. This exercise is extremely beneficial to your thighs. For your calves, go on your toes, then rock down. Rock up, rock down. Do it continuously. Yes, I think you can achieve your goals by the end of the summer.
